At its core, LYRATA consists of:

• Mieneke van der Velden
• Anna Lachegyi
• Alex Baker
• Stefan Woudenberg

To explore an even broader spectrum of repertoire and richer instrumental textures, Lyrata frequently collaborates with guest musicians and soloists. Past projects and performances have featured guest musicians including Evan Buttar, Magdalena Kasprzyk-Dobija, and Mimoe Todo, as well as vocal soloists such as mezzo-soprano Georgia Burashko.

Driven by a desire to expand the horizons of the instrument, Lyrata actively collaborates with contemporary composers to create and perform brand-new repertoire for the viola da gamba. By commissioning new works and bringing modern voices into dialogue with historical instruments, the ensemble bridges centuries of musical tradition. This ongoing effort has resulted in world premieres of pieces written specifically for the ensemble by distinguished composers such as Calliope Tsoupaki and Lydia Gardiner.
